Power Electrics is extremely proud to announce that the company won Best SME Risk Initiative at the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management awards in Central London on Thursday night.
Firstly, we want to say a huge thank you to all employees for their dedication and hard work that helped us win the award.
The award category was judged on a number of criteria, which makes the win just that bit sweeter. Judges looked at how our approach to managing risk has developed over time, how we overcame any barriers we faced, the aspects of our policies and initiatives that highlight innovation and evidence that the changes we’ve made have directly benefited the company and our employees.
At a packed award ceremony in the shadow of the Houses of Parliament, Brett Mann, Steve Williams, Leigh Preece and Jeremey Healey collected the award on behalf of Power Electrics.
Health and Safety Director Brett Mann said: “We are delighted to receive this prestigious award for the Best SME Risk Initiative. This award is indicative of every single member of staff’s hard work and adherence to policy. We hope to build on this and retain the award next year.”
To win the award Power Electrics beat out Saudi Arabian energy giant Altaaqa Alternative Solutions and events company Star Events who have built structures for Download Festival, Battersea Power Station and the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to Birmingham in 2013. Power Electrics was the ranked outsider in this category so to beat out two huge companies for an international award is a fantastic achievement.
At Power Electrics we pride ourselves on achieving the highest standards of health and safety and risk management. One of our core values is to deliver excellence in every aspect of what we do and part of that is ensuring innovative initiatives are implemented in the area of health and safety. The company has been awarded professional accreditations and quality standards from a number of respected accreditation organisations. These can be found at www.powerelectrics.com/about/accrediations
