Load Banking

Standard site load test uses whatever electric load is available at the customer site to test the generator to its full capacity. In most cases there is not enough load at the site to test the generator to the full capacity without causing an interruption to the power supply to the building.

With a load bank test, Power Electrics will deliver to site a mobile bank which can produce a sufficient electrical load to test the generator to the full capacity without endangering the supply to the building. In essence our engineer will apply electrical load to the Generator in stages over a period that is predetermined by the customer.Power Electrics has a range of resistive load banks to meet this requirement and can provide a Load Bank Service Nationwide:

•  as part of a service contract (usually offered with the B service)
•  rental of a load bank and cables for use by qualified customer staff or
•  complete and inclusive loadbank testing service by Power Electrics Technicians

 Additional Load Bank Services include:

•  loadbanks from 30kw to 2000kw
•  complete documentation at end of test
•  Inductive loadbanks available on request
•  Hire of loadbanks can include delivery of loadbank and cables on a dedicated fleet vehicle and instruction if required
